Cultivating Community

Menno Hall is designed as an open, welcoming place - somewhere you can walk through, pause, or spend time, even if you don’t live or work here.

Care for Land & Neighbours

Existing mature trees along Western Parkway have been carefully preserved, maintaining the character of the bridle path and surrounding streets. Native and sustainable landscaping supports biodiversity, manages rainwater, and brings a sense of calm to the site, while thoughtful buffers ensure nearby homes remain private and peaceful.

Menno Hall is carefully scaled to respect the surrounding neighbourhood, with height, setbacks, and landscaping designed to create a gentle transition between campus buildings and nearby homes — a design rooted in neighbourliness and thoughtfulness.

Learning, Arts, & Community Programs

Menno Hall dedicates 11,000 square feet to spaces for art, music, theatre, learning, and expressions of faith. Concerts, lectures, courses, and other public programs will be open to the community, and facilities are available for rental.

The PeaceBridge Institute within Menno Hall creates a space devoted to academic and intellectual thought leadership in conflict resolution and peace studies. It includes a lecture theatre for courses, conferences, and public events, offices for a small staff, and common areas designed
to foster discussion, collaboration, and partnerships with faith-based organizations advancing peace and development globally.
